swollen feet
I have had such an uncomfortable weekend. On Saturday my feet swelled noticeably for the first time. My mom and her friends made me put them up at which time they began to ache painfully. So the rest of the afternoon/evening my legs hurt. Swelling went down while I slept that night. O, and now my fingers on my left hand are refusing to flex after a period of not using them. Weird. Sunday we went to a family reunion for my dad's mom's side of the family. This means that I knew no one except my first cousins and my dad's siblings. And of course my aunts had to keep asking me questions and touching me. Honestly, how many times can you tell people you feel like crap?? One of my dad's cousins, who he thinks is a nut too, has an 18-year-old daughter who is pregnant. She's giving the baby up for adoption because her mother told her to because her mother doesn't want her to have the baby. Her mother (my dad's cousin) was talking to Em about this and then my mom. She was asking how old I was, whether I was keeping it, if I was getting married, etc. Now, I don't know about you, but I find that offensive. First of all, if she were my mom, I would have told her to go screw herself. Second, it was pretty rude to talk about me and my baby and my situation with other people and never so much as give me a glance. Yeah, that's just me.
I can't wait until my appointment on Thursday. My mom's freaking out because she thinks I have preeclampsia. I guess I could, I have some of the symptoms. I feel just fine tho. {Considering.} I just can't wait for my exam to find out if I'm dilated. I think I am. Of course I don't know tho. I still think this little guy will be here in early September rather than the 18th. We'll see. One of our neighbors at camp has 5 kids. She gave me some breastfeeding tips. She thinks the baby is about 19-20 inches long and between 6lbs 13oz-7lbs 1oz. I'm going to laugh if she's right.
Anyway, I'm hungry. Tom is awake too so I will take advantage and cuddle. Did I mention that he's getting his windshield today? Only $175 and they're coming to my house to install it. Good deal, huh? Have a nice day! Have a wonderful day back to work, Heather!
