6 week visit
Can you all see my tickers at the bottom of the page? I'm hoping it's just my computer that's making them look like sh*t.
Anyway, I had my 6 week postpartum doctor's appt. yesterday. I've lost 23 lbs. Yay me! Dr. F also put my IUD in. She was going to give me a copper IUD because that's what she was trained with, but they were out. So I ended up getting Mirena, which is the one I wanted thanks to Heather. Let me just say that was one of the most uncomfortable things ever. Right up there with the first nasty contractions and prenatal internal exams. Blah. I fell crampy and nauseous all day yesterday. But Tom took the baby and let me sleep for three hours!! *sigh* I feel ok now. I should considering I won't have anything to worry about for 5 years. ;-) So it was worth it. I have to go back on Halloween to get it checked.
Bryan woke up at 6:00 this morning and didn't want to go back to sleep. He just wanted to play and make faces. I fed him and played with him. I finally got him back to bed at almost 7:30, but of course he woke back up at 8. I was so frustrated. He's sleeping now in his swing. Although his head is at an awkward angle.
There really isn't one word to describe motherhood as my doctor pointed out yesterday. Tiring, joyful, frustrating, rewarding...*sigh*
